In the usual super fast efficient TOPS fashion when we heard about load shedding affecting our business twice a week for 4 hours at a time, we rushed out and bought a super large Inverter so that Eskom’s problem would not affect our super service.

The electrician arrived on a Thursday to install our battery backup; our next load shedding was scheduled for Tuesday. We were rather excited and couldn’t wait for Tuesday to arrive to see if we had bought a big enough unit to keep us up and running for 4 hours. We were very happy when the electricity went off at 10.00am, as scheduled, the battery immediately took over.

In our office we actually wouldn’t have been aware of a power failure had our neighbours in the office block not been outside chatting, which had become the norm on load shedding days.

We are happy to announce that Natalie is back at the office after her 3 months maternity leave.

Thanks Nat’s for helping us out when deadlines were tight by doing some work from home, your loyalty to TOPS is appreciated.

Well lo and behold our excitement was short lived, as that was our only load shedding experience with a battery backup. It was only a day or two later when it was announced that load shedding would be suspended until further notice.

Oh well!! You can be assured of a never ending supply of service from TOPS in the future, if and when load shedding begins again, we are well prepared, and have tested the unit so we know it does work.
